Slices (“we”, “our”) operates the Slices mobile app and useslices.com. This policy describes what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, display name, and profile details you provide when you sign up.
- Profile photos (optional): if you set a profile picture, the image is stored on our servers. Choosing a photo may request access to your device camera or photo library; we only use that access for profile photos you choose to upload.
- Group & expense data: group names, expenses, splits, settlements, and comments you create in the app.
- Technical data: device type and app diagnostics used to keep the service reliable (for example crash logs).
How we use information
- Provide and improve the Slices app
- Authenticate you and send account-related emails (reset password, verification)
- Calculate balances and settlements within your groups
- Respond to support requests
Service providers
We use trusted third parties to run the product, including:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Cloudflare — domain and website hosting
These providers process data only as needed to deliver the service and under their own privacy terms.
Data retention
We keep your account and group data while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting support@useslices.com.
Security
We use industry-standard practices such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Children
Slices is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new date at the top of this page.
