Terms of service
Last updated: July 20, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Slices mobile app and useslices.com (“Slices”, “we”, “our”). By creating an account or using Slices, you agree to these terms. These terms also serve as our Terms of Use (EULA) for App Store purchases.
Using Slices
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for expense data you enter and how you use balances and settlement suggestions in your groups.
- Slices helps groups track shared costs; it does not move money or provide payment, banking, or tax advice.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful purposes or to harass others
- Attempt to access other users’ data without permission
- Abuse the API, spam groups, or upload malicious content
- Reverse engineer or disrupt the service
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit (group names, expenses, comments). You grant us a limited license to host and process that content solely to operate Slices for you and your group members.
Availability
We strive for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change; we may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Disclaimer
Slices is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Slices offers optional paid features through Apple In-App Purchase, including one-time purchases and an auto-renewable subscription (Slices Pro).
- Subscription title, length, and price are shown in the purchase flow before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account.
- Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- If a free trial or introductory price is offered, the purchase screen states when the regular subscription price will be charged after that period ends.
- Deleting your Slices account does not cancel an active App Store subscription; cancel the subscription in iOS Settings if you no longer want to be billed.
Privacy details are in our privacy policy.
Termination
You may stop using Slices at any time. In the app, open Profile and choose Delete account to permanently remove your account and personal data. This is not a temporary deactivation. We may also terminate or suspend access if you breach these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change; continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
